<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that as a TV broadcast frequency setting method by a communication terminal capable of receiving a TV broadcast, a method has been proposed heretofore in which the communication terminal searches the TV broadcast frequency registered in advance to set a frequency on the basis of base station information of a mobile phone or the like, however the method requires the communication terminal to register in advance base station information, TV broadcast frequencies, and TV broadcast reception areas or the like of the whole country while associating them each other and cannot cope with the case that base stations are scrapped and built. <P>SOLUTION: A communication terminal includes: a TV broadcast reception section for receiving the TV broadcast; a display section for displaying a video image of the received TV broadcast; and a communication section for making communication with a base station, wherein the communication section acquires base station information for each base station area and acquires the TV broadcast frequency corresponding to the base station area by using the base station information, and the TV broadcast reception section receives the TV broadcast at the TV broadcast frequency acquired by the communication section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
