<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator element which can operate stably in the air or in vacuum and can be driven with low voltage. <P>SOLUTION: This actuator element can produce curvature or transformation by giving a potential difference to an electrode layer, with at least two pieces of electrode layers 2 consisting of a gel-form composite of carbon nanotubes and ionic liquid being formed in insulated states on the surfaces of an ion conductive layer 1 consisting of a gel-form composite of ionic liquid and polymers, or this actuator element can produce curvature and transformation by giving a potential difference to the conductive layer, with at least two pieces of electrode layers 2 being formed in mutually insulated state on the surfaces of the ion conductive layer 1 and further conductive layers 3 being formed on the surfaces of the electrode layers 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
