<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing structure for easily and certainly fixing a metal shell using simple construction. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing structure for the metal shell according to the present invention applicable for a connector used for FPC comprises a first metal shell having an engagement hole on a side wall, an insulating member having a guide groove and a lance lock portion in its bottom part and covered at its top part and side part with the first metal shell, and a second metal shell having a projection portion engaging with the engagement hole and projecting via a shoulder portion and a lance locked to the lance lock portion and engaging with the guide groove, wherein the shoulder portion of the second metal shell abuts only on the side opposite to the side where the lance is locked to the lance lock portion of the guide groove. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
