<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video image synthesizer in which a plurality of projectors are arranged such that the optical axes become parallel, outgoing optical axes are aligned and constant adjustment is not required, and to provide a video image driver and a transparent panel being used for the projection of the video image synthesizer, and a three-dimensional video image projection system utilizing that video image synthesizer. <P>SOLUTION: The video image synthesizer comprises a first light source, a first polarizing plate arranged in front of the first light source, a reflector reflecting first light passed through the first polarizing plate, a second light source arranged such that the optical axis becomes parallel with that of the first light source with the plane of polarization being rotated by 90°from the first light source, a second polarizing plate arranged in front of the second light source, and a transmission reflector arranged in front of the second light source and the reflector and reflecting the first light and transmitting second light passed through the second polarizing plate wherein the optical path end of the reflector is arranged to pass the vicinity of the forward end of the first light source and the end part of the reflector is arranged at the optical path end of the second light source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
