<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent motion in switching preceding swivel (turning) control by a navigation system of a head light to swivel control by steering a driver from impairing the front visibility of the driver and giving an uncomfortable feeling. <P>SOLUTION: On the way until a swivel preceding control angle based on a vehicle speed from left/right wheel speed sensors 16L and 16R and forward road information from a navigation system 15 reaches a swivel control angle based on a steering angle and a vehicle speed from a steering angle sensor 18, a swivel transfer control angle by the weighted average of the swivel preceding control angle and the swivel control angle is used in accordance with to an elapsed time from the detection of the steering angle. Thus, motions in the optical axis directions of the head lights 10L and 10R become smooth in switching the swivel control, the front visibility of the driver is not impaired, and the uncomfortable feeling is not given to the driver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
