PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which a dozing can be detected stably and surely, without requiring a special mechanism or a large-scale constitution, and to provide a device therefor. SOLUTION: The method includes a step (S11) of changing a vehicle from a 1st operation mode to a 2nd operation mode, and a step (S12) of detecting whether the vehicle is put back from the 2nd operation mode into the 1st operation mode or an operation mode close thereto, and detects the dozing, when the return is not detected.
