PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens base plate with a straight advance light control part excellent in the characteristic of the angle of visibility, a method for manufacturing the lens base plate with the straight advance light control part, and a transmission type screen and a rear type projector equipped with the lens base plate with the straight advance light control part. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the lens base plate with the straight advance light control part is a method for manufacturing the lens base plate provided with a plurality of convex lenses on at least one surface and used by making light incident from a surface side provided with the convex lenses. The method includes a stage for forming the lens base plate having the convex lens by using a base plate with recessed parts having a plurality of recessed parts on its surface, and a stage for forming a straight advance light control part restraining the rate of straight advance light out of the light made incident on the lens base plate in a non-effective lens area between adjacent convex lenses on the surface on the side where the convex lens is formed on the lens base plate.
