PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner excellent in developing property, transfer property, fixing property, durability, environmental stability and release property from a carrier by maximizing the ability of the toner containing wax. SOLUTION: In the toner containing at least a binder resin, a colorant, wax and hydrophobic titanium oxide fine particles, the toner shows the maximum endothermic peak temperature in the range of 50 to 100°C in a 30 to 150°C temperature region in the endothermic curve by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The hydrophobic titanium oxide fine particles are surface treated with at least silicone oil or silicone varnish and shows the intensity ratio (Ia/Ib) of the maximum intensity Ia to the minimum intensity Ib in X-ray diffraction in the range of 20.0 to 40.0°of 2θsatisfying 5.0≤Ia/Ib≤12.0.
