PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material excellent in graininess without lowering sensitivity and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains a compound represented by formula (1) wherein Q1represents a group of nonmetallic atoms required to form a heterocycle in combination with the nitrogen atom; L1represents a≥5C divalent linking group; and Z1represents a functional group.
