PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and easily-designable tilt sensor capable of discriminating tilt accurately without using an expensive member having high shieldability, hardly affected by dispersion, a change with age or the temperature of a photosensor, and dispensing with selection of a component. SOLUTION: The tilt sensor for detecting by converting into a voltage, fluctuation of a light receiving quantity of a light receiving element resulting from movement of bubbles arranged between a light emitting element and the light receiving element is constituted so that a change portion (for example, 63%) determined optionally is set as a threshold voltage Vt of tilt to an output voltage Vi in the steady state wherein sampling and renewing are always performed, and that the inclination is detected in the case below the threshold voltage Vt. Since the change portion (63%) of the output Vi is used as the threshold voltage Vt, the tilt can be determined inexpensively and accurately by the tilt sensor having a simple structure without being affected by the temperature or the change with age of the photosensor and without using the expensive material having high shieldability.
