PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for performing accurately fluorescence detection of an array beam by solving the problems wherein, when performing the fluorescence detection of the array beam, accurate detection is difficult, because the bead diameter of beads in a passage is small relative to the passage inner diameter and thereby the beads are not arrayed linearly, in a method using the fluorescent beads. SOLUTION: A sample acquired by arraying in the passage a plurality of articles formed by adding a phosphor to each of comparatively large beads is irradiated with long and narrow excitation light in the direction orthogonal to the passage, and the sample is scanned relatively in the passage direction, and detected accurately with excellent separability without being influenced by adjacent beads.
