PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus and a liquid jet apparatus, which are made compact so as to be made easily conveyable. SOLUTION: A storage part 31, wherein a medium holding means 132 for holding a roll-shaped recording medium is to be housed, is constituted in such a manner as to be freely attached to/detached from an apparatus body 32. Since this enables the apparatus body and the storage part to be separated from each other and made compact, the conveyance of the recording apparatus is facilitated. Additionally, the storage part is equipped with a fastening means 133c which can be manually fastened to locking parts 133b and 32b capable of being locked to the apparatus body.
