PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric hair clipper having a head case covering the outer surface of a hair clipper head in which the head case can be firmly connected secured to a body case. SOLUTION: The electric hair clipper has the body case 1, a driving unit 2, a cutting blade unit 3, and a head case 24 covering and hiding a peripheral portion of the cutting blade 3. The head case 24 can be attached to and detached from a mounting portion 43 formed in the body case 1, both the head case 1 and the head case 24 are connected through spigot and socket connecting portions 50 formed at three positions of front ends of left and right side walls of the body case 1 and the center of the front end of the upper wall of the body case 1. The spigot and socket connecting portions 50 has connecting projecting walls 51, 53 projected from a connecting line S of the body case 1 and the head case 24 to the side of the head case 24 and connecting spigot portions 52, 54 formed recessed toward head case 24.
