PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch unit having stable characteristics with regard to a change in temperature, with simple structure. SOLUTION: The clutch unit is provided with static members 5, 6, 7, an input rotation member 1 driven to rotate by a drive source, an output rotation member 2 to take torque transmitted from the input rotation member 1 outward, and a torque transmitting member 3 provided between the input rotation member 1 and the output rotation member 2 to be selectively engaged and disengaged to both rotation members 1, 2. A cam mechanism 4 for controlling engagement/disengagement between the torque transmitting member 3 and the output rotation member 2 by axially moving the torque transmitting member 3 through displacement of a relative angle with regard to the static members 5, 6, 7 is constituted of a fixing cam 16 pressed on the static member 5 by an elastic member 22, and a movable cam 17 capable of being axially engaged with the fixing cam 16 on a cam surface 23 and axially displaced by the torque from the input rotation member 1.
