PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OFDM modulation signal receiver which detects C/N at a base band and calculates a weighing factor corresponding to it for diversity synthesizing. SOLUTION: The receiver comprises a noise level detecting means 30 in which a reception sample value series is applied with delay for effective symbol period over the entire system for diversity reception, and the delayed signal and the reception sample value series with no delay are applied with subtraction process. The result of subtraction is made into an absolute value, and on the basis of the result of the process, a noise level is detected. The receiver further comprises a means 26 for standardizing the noise level contained in the reception signal on the basis of the detection result, a means 28 for multiplication with a prescribed weighing factor on the basis of the reception signal after the standardizing process, and a means 29 for the addition of the signal resulting from multiplying with the weighing factor of the entire system.
