CONVERSION ADAPTER AND MEASURING INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a waveguide primary radiator with a standard waveguide while matching well to each other, and to enhance precision in measurement of a wireless device, or the like. SOLUTION: The conversion adapter 11 comprises a taper waveguide section 14 contracting from a waveguide primary radiator 1 toward a standard waveguide section 15. The taper waveguide section 14 is shaped substantially symmetrically to the tapered section 3 while holding the opening surface of the waveguide primary radiator 1 between them. Consequently, impedance can be matched between the waveguide primary radiator 1 and the standard waveguide using the conversion adapter 11 and reflection loss, and the like, can be reduced.
