PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a flawless thin-film layer of a uniform thickness economically and efficiently by curtailing a removal area of a sheet material and forming it in a free shape. SOLUTION: A given width of a removal area 103a is formed on a film-shaped or a sheet-shaped dielectric 103 formed on a contiguous base film, a part of an adhesive tape is pressed on the dielectric in a width smaller than a notched width to remove the removal area 103a, and the dielectric 103 with the removal area 103a removed is attached to a front-face glass substrate 3 with the contiguous base film 102 running.
