PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope where satisfactory observation performance is obtained stably for a long period by preventing deterioration of matter built in an endoscope due to steam even in the case of repeating autoclave sterilization without increasing the outer dimension of an insertion part. SOLUTION: A sealed pipe 16 and a cable holder 17, an imaging element frame 15; metal members 22, 23 and an insulation frame 14; a tip metal frame 13 and the metal member 22; the imaging element frame 15 and the metal member 23; a tip lens 21 and a tip metal frame 13; an element cover glass 24 and the imaging element frame 15 constituting an imaging unit 10 are fixed by fixing parts 33a, 33b, 33c, 33d, 33e, 33g, 33f and 33h by an adhesive 33. A substrate 31 and a signal line 32 connected with a solid-state imaging element 11 are covered with a sealing part 34a by the adhesive 33. The inside of the sealed pipe 16 and the cable holder 17 is provided with a sealing part 34b by the adhesive 33. The adhesive 33 has a moisture absorbing agent added thereto.
