PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide opening/closing equipment for a sluice, which is wholly downsized and which enables the efficient storage of a chain for being connected to a door body, and to provide a chain storage method for the opening/closing equipment. SOLUTION: The chain 3, one end of which is connected to an upper part of the door body 2, is engaged with a driving sprocket 14 to which a rotation driving force from a drive part 12 is transferred, and the other end of the chain is connected to a bottom surface of a trestle 17 wherein a part 13 to be driven is installed. Thus, when the door body 2 is made to ascend via the chain 3, the chain 3 is rotatively moved by the rotation of the driving sprocket 14, and housed in a chain cover 20 by descending in an approximate U-shape, while being guided along a guide roller 16 which is provided on the trestle 17, so as to be capable of being housed in a small space.
