PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screen and so forth, capable of obtaining high contrast images by reducing the external light running in the direction of the viewers. SOLUTION: This screen has a light-scattering layer 201 which scatters a light L1, projected from the projection optical system 122 of a projector 120 within the angle determined by F of the projection optical system 122 but passes a light L2 other than the projection light L1 and projected at angles other than those prescribed.
