<p>The invention relates to a process for connecting the steam turbines in series and to an installation for applying the said process, used in steam power plants. The process for connecting the steam turbines in series and the installation for appying the process provide the reduction in number of low pressure bodies of the high power steam turbines and the constraints given by the final section of the low pressure body, in that, after the first stage of introducing the steam flow into the low pressure body of a main turbine (1) and its expansion in successive stages, there is sampled a part of the steam flow, which is transferred outwards, where, in the next stage, it is expanded in a second turbine (5), which drives, on the one hand the shaft line of a boiler supplying water pump (8), and on the other hand, a secondary electric generator (6). The installation for applying the process for connecting the steam turbines in series consists of the low pressure body or bodies of a main turbine (1), which drive(s) the main electric generator (2), wherefrom the steam is evacuated in the condenser (3) and which, upstream of the last two or three stages, has an extraction intake (4), dimensioned for the sampled steam flow, which supplies a secondary turbine (5) coupled to a secondary generator (6).</p> |
