<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To presume a living state, including the safety of a resident, or the like without providing intelligence to electrical appliances in an electric power user, and with a method not trespassing on the house of the electric power user. <P>SOLUTION: A living state presumption system 1 involves: measuring total power consumption for every predetermined time intervals at the service entrance position of the service line 4 of the electric power user 2; obtaining the absolute value of a variation in the total power consumption for every predetermined time intervals as data of interest; calculating a k% value by using a previously established value k with respect to a data group comprised of a plurality of data of interest obtained in the past predetermined time width for every predetermined time intervals, where the k% value is a value coming to k% of the data of interest in number having a value equal to or greater than the previously established value k for the data groups in total number; and presuming the presence or no presence of an intentional manipulation by the resident with respect to electrical appliances 3 in the electric power user 2 on the basis of the presence or no presence of a variation in the k% value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
