<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device in which optical system elements are arranged so that quantity of light for a couple of the laser beams can fully be detected in a detector when the optical system element for a CD and a DVD is integrated. <P>SOLUTION: The optical elements of the optical system for the optical pickup device are arranged so that an optical axis Lb for a laser diode 9b with a large spread angle and the main axis for each of the optical elements are matched. A laser diode 9a with a small spread angle is shifted and arranged in a direction toward an X axis. When a light quantity detector 13 is arranged in circumference adjacent to a collimator lens 12, the light quantity detector 13 is arranged toward the direction of the X axis side to the collimator lens 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
