<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staple for a cable in which when a cable vulnerable to impact like an optical fiber cable is wired, the cable can be fixed to the wall face without accidentally imparting impact to the cable, the cable can be properly held without deteriorating the transmission characteristics, easy attachment/detachment of the cable can be realized, and proper clamping force can be added to an arbitrary cable, and which does not spoil the appearance even after its removal. <P>SOLUTION: The staple for a cable has a pedestal part 1, which is fixed to an installation place of the cable and to which a rod-like needle part 3 in a pinnacle shape is provided, and a cable holding part 2 for clamping the cable together with the pedestal part 1. The needle part 3 is screwed into the installation place of the cable. The cable is set to the pedestal part 1. After that, the cable holding part 2 is mounted to the pedestal part 1.
