<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wall members capable of reinforcing walls in existing wooden houses, fastening members binding them to the existing buildings, and fastening method using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the wall member, a plurality of reinforcing members 6, 7 diagonally put in between the right and left supports 1, 2 and an intermediate column 5, The respective front ends are inserted in the respective supports or the intermediate column. The vicinity of the front end of the reinforcing members are pressed by a pressing body. The fastening member 40 is constituted of a body part 41 formed in a tapered shape, a screw 42 formed at the front end of the body, a head 44 formed at the other end of the body, a contact part 43 formed in a collar-shape at the middle of the body and the head.
