PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which can prevent that noise goes into recorded voice during zooming at the time of photographing of moving video. SOLUTION: An electronic camera 1 is provided with a CCD 106 which converts an optical image focused on an imaging plane to a video signal, a microphone 112 which acquires sound and converts it to an analog voice signal at the same time that the CCD106 converts the optical image to the video signal, and a recording means 105 which records video signal performed photoelectric conversion in the CCD 106 and outputted voice signal from the microphone 112 as image data and voice data for the image data after respective signal processing in a signal processing IC 102, and it is possible to perform optical zooming by a photographing lens 107 during photographing of the moving video, or electronic zooming by the signal processing IC 102.
