PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional switch composed by increasing operation functions without increasing the number of components. SOLUTION: This multifunctional switch 1 having an operation part A allowing rotary operation and depressing operation has: a jog dial base 50 formed integrally with the operation part A and having slits 52 formed side by side in the circumferential direction at predetermined intervals; and a slit detection part B facing to the rotation track of the slits 52 to detect the slits 52 for detecting a rotary operation amount of the operation part A according to the number of slits 52 detected within a predetermined period and for detecting the depressing operation of the operation part A based on the vertical movement of the slits 52.
