PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having excellent electron-transport performance that is useful for electrophotographic photoreceptor applications, and to provide a positively-charged electrophotographic photoreceptor for highly-sensitive copying machines and printers and an electrophotographic device using the same by using the new organic material in a photosensitive layer as a charge-transport substance. SOLUTION: There is provided a new quinone compound having a structure represented by general formula (I), wherein R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>4</SP>, R<SP>7</SP>and R<SP>8</SP>are the same or different and each represent a 1-6C alkyl group; R<SP>5</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>are the same or different and each represent a hydrogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group, an aryl group or a heterocyclic group; X denotes an alkyl group or an aryl group; and any substituent is a halogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, an alkylamino group or a heterocyclic group, and substituents may combine to form a ring.
