PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing drying machine in which information based on excess judgment of drying capacity can be made according to selection setting up by a user. SOLUTION: In the washing drying machine which performs washing, spin-drying, and drying of washing, performs detection of volume of the washing after starting the operation, and carries out information to that effect when the detection result is judged to exceed the drying capacity, the threshold value of the excess judgment of the drying capacity is made to differ according to selection setting up by the user such as course setting up of operation and content setting up of a drying stroke. Thereby, a drying deficiency is not caused by uncertainty of the excess judgment of the drying capacity of the washing drying machine, and moreover, it is possible that the user is not forced to carry out unnecessary taking out working of the washing by uncertainty of the excess judgment of the drying capacity of the washing drying machine.
