PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator door device for detecting contact of the human body with a door accurately without affected by a humidity change even when a human body contacting area is small. SOLUTION: A potential detecting means 15 for detecting a change of a potential between doors 6A, 6B and an earth detects whether or not the human body contacts with the doors 6A, 6B which are electrically insulated between earth potentials. This structure detects a static electricity discharge when the human body contacts with the door, and thus the contact of the human body with the door is detected accurately even when the human body contact area is small as compared with a door area, and the static electricity discharge is determined by a charged voltage of the door, and human body detection is not affected by the humidity change.
