PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package body capable of preventing a cover from being released from a structural member by a simple means. SOLUTION: This package body 1 comprises a packaged object 2, a structural member 3 formed into a rectangular parallelepiped shape having a space in it for storing the packaged object 2, the structural member 3 provided with a support part supporting the packaged object 2, and a rectangular parallelepiped cover 4 having a ceiling surface 42, a front surface 43, a back surface 44, a right side surface 45 and a left side surface 46 covering a ceiling surface 32, a front surface 33, a back surface 34, a right side surface 35 and a left side surface 46. Side surfaces constituting the front surface 43, the back surface 44, the right side surface 45 and the left side surface 46 are provided with slits 47 reaching the lower end of the cover 4. The slits 47 are formed such that they can be connected with and separated from each other by a fastener 5. A length of the lower end circumferential edge of the cover 4 under a state in which the slits 47 of the cover 4 are closed by the fastener 5 is formed to be shorter than a length of the rectangular circumferential edge of the ceiling surface 42 of the cover 4.
