PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical for treating one or more diseases selected from the group consisting of diabetic nephropathy, proteinuria, impairment of glomerular clearance, and diabetic retinopathy and inhibiting post-Amadori advanced glycation end-product (AGE) formation. SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical contains pyridoxamine and is used for treating the diseases, wherein the diabetic nephropathy is included in the diseases, the proteinuria is included in the diseases, the impairment of the glomerular clearance is included in the diseases, and the diabetic retinopathy is included in the diseases.
