PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly safe oral composition chemically inhibiting the formation of stain on a tooth plane, having more superior effects for keeping the tooth white and beautiful, and useful for bleaching the tooth by using a specific reducing oligosaccharide and a water-soluble salt of a polyphosphoric acid. SOLUTION: This oral composition is obtained by formulating 0.01-50 mass% of one or more kinds of the reducing oligosaccharides selected from kojibiose, sophorose, laminaribiose, cellobiose, turanose, cellotriose, solatriose, cellotetraose and cellopentaose, and one or more kinds of the linear or cyclic water-soluble salts of polyphosphoric acids represented by formulas (1) or (2): M<SB>n+2</SB>P<SB>n</SB>O<SB>3n+1</SB>(1); and (MPO<SB>3</SB>)<SB>m</SB>(2) (wherein, M is Na or K; (m) is an integer of≥3; and (n) is an integer of≥2).
