PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair where stand-up operation and sit-down operation are easily performed by freely tilting a main body frame forward and backward by lever operation. SOLUTION: A bracket 6 is fixed to the main frame 1. With respect to the bracket, the proximal end part of a main arm 4 provided with an operation part 5 at its distal end is pivotally supported to a part of the bracket. A main wheel 2 is supported at the pivotally supporting position of the main arm 4 and the intermediate position of the operation part 5 at the distal end to tilt the main frame 1 by holding the operation part 5 at the distal end and turning the main arm 4 forward and backward. The main arm 4 and the bracket 6 are provided with a locking means for engaging turning at the prescribed turning position of the main arm 4 to keep the main frame 1 tilted.
