The drainage gutter has a U-section profile and a cover for a drainage slot in a road surface. The drainage gutter profile (1) has cross bridge sections (10,20) at its open side facing the cover to support cover sections from which the cover is formed. The cover sections are fitted prior to the final fitting of the gutter. The bridging sections can be formed of plastics.
