The invention concerns an insulating glazing comprising at least two glass sheets (10, 11) spaced apart by a gas layer (12), a spacer maintaining apart the two glass sheets and comprising at least one substantially flat profiled section (2) arranged at least partly on the periphery of the glazing and bonded by securing means (3). The invention is characterized in that the profiled section is arranged substantially inwards of the glazing recessed relative to at least one edge (13) of one glass sheet (11) and is bonded against at least one inner surface (11a) of one glass sheet.
