The controller includes an interpreter (10) implemented in the non-real time software program. The storage medium stores an executable macro loaded into the interpreter for determining the parameters for parameterizing the controller and storing the parameters in memory area of the computer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method for parameterizing or programming controller; and (2) machine tool and production machine.
