<p>The base unit 100, for use with road studs of the depressible type, is made of plastic and has a front portion, a back portion and opposing side walls, with a recess 110 for retaining a resilient insert being located between the front and back portions and the side walls. The top of the base unit includes an anti-skid pattern 120 that helps to ensure that when a vehicle wheel crosses the top of the base unit the wheel does not loose traction. The anti-skid pattern is preferably integrally moulded with the base unit. Also claimed is a road stud incorporating the base unit.</p> |
