<p>PURPOSE: Provided is a nutrient removal method using media, the method being capable of reducing sludge by using organic matter in wastewater in denitrification and dephosphorization, and separating microorganism adsorbing organic matter and wastewater without using an additional settling zone. CONSTITUTION: The method is accomplished by using a wastewater treatment apparatus being comprised of an anaerobic reactor(1), a nitrification reactor(2), an anoxic reactor(3), an aeration reactor(4), and a settling zone(5) arranged in order, and a separator(6), wherein the reactors have media being capable of adsorbing microorganism therein and the separator(6) separates the media and wastewater, thereby returning the wastewater and the media to the nitrification reactor(2) and the anoxic reactor(3), respectively.</p> |
