A method of attenuating noise in seismic data comprises accepting a plurality of traces arrayed in two physical dimensions and a time dimension and transforming a volume comprising a subset of the plurality of traces into the slant stack domain using a Radon transform. The Radon transform may be a two dimensional or three dimensional transform. An anti-aliasing filter may be applied in the slant stack domain. The transformed volume is inverse transformed into the time domain using an inverse Radon transform. The method is repeated with different volumes. |
