摘要 The invention provides a method for amplification of analog push-pull signals ( 101 a, 101 b) by means of a push-pull amplifier output stage ( 100 ) which has a first output stage transistor ( 102 a) and a second output stage transistor ( 102 b), with first and second analog push-pull signals ( 101 a, 101 b) being applied to the first and second output stage transistors ( 102 a, 102 b) and to first and second control transistors ( 103 a, 103 b), by which means first and second control currents ( 104 a, 104 b) are controlled, furthermore with the second control current ( 104 b) which is controlled by the second control transistor ( 103 b) being mirrored by means of a current mirror device ( 105 ) into a mirrored second control current ( 104 c), with the first control current ( 104 a) being compared with a first reference current, with the mirrored second control current ( 104 c) being compared with a second reference current, with reference voltage levels ( 107 a, 107 b) which are produced by the comparison processes being logically linked in an AND gate ( 110 ), and with a fault signal ( 111 ) which is produced by the AND gate ( 110 ) being used to drive a limiter transistor ( 112 ) in order to limit any inrush current flow through the output stage transistors ( 102 a, 102 b).
