FIELD: metallurgy, possibly rolling large-size bodies of revolution in thick sheet rolling mills. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes rolling stand with different-diameter rolls and bending roller mounted behind said stand. Apparatus is provided with pickup for detecting position of bending roller; metal presence indicator arranged in place of crossing of vertical axis of roller with sheet motion path. Bending roller is mounted with possibility of motion in vertical plane by means of driving mechanism. Invention provides creation of stable kinematic zone of metal advance on upper roll and restriction of such zone on lower roll. ^ EFFECT: enhanced quality of rolled sheets due to significantly lowered difference of torque values of rolling rolls, elimination of asymmetry of friction zones on rolls. ^ 1 dwg |
