FIELD: optical communications engineering, possible use for protecting communication line. ^ SUBSTANCE: optical port is physically divided on several modules with minimal protection. On basis of modules with minimal protection system is divided on several logical systems. Each node of logical system may operate in one of four modes: normal mode, transfer mode, connection mode and switching mode. When protection is necessary, node is transferred from normal working mode to one of other three working mode by means of either protection of multiplex section, or network connection protection, or channel protection, etc. ^ EFFECT: increased protection of communication lines and flexible configuration of network. ^ 2 cl, 8 dwg |
