FIELD: sewing industry, in particular, equipment for overstitching edges of carpets and other thickened articles. ^ SUBSTANCE: edge overstitching machine has housing 1 incorporating main shaft 2 onto which are put connecting rod 3 of kinking device comprising ring 4, eccentric 5, bushing 6, and connecting rod 7 of stretcher comprising of ring 8, eccentric 9 and bushing 10, needle guide 11 with connecting rod 12 of needle guide 11, material advancement rocker comprising ring 13, eccentric 14, clamp 15 put onto rings 13. Working surface of clamp 15 is made in the form of toothed surface adapted for engagement with material and for reciprocation. Apparatus is further provided with transverse shafts 16, 17 connected with shafts 18, 19 caused to slide by means of levers 20, 21, 22, 23. Needle guide is fixed on upper right part of housing 1 through bushing 24 put onto shaft 25, and is formed as lever with needle clamp 26 arranged at lever end. Needle guide 11 is connected through pivot joint 27 with connecting rod 12 of needle guide 11 to provide for reciprocation. ^ EFFECT: simplified construction, reduced weight and dimensions, increased wear-resistance and service life of machine. ^ 4 dwg |
