Anhydrous cosmetic composition comprises an oil and a nonionic surfactant system comprising an ethoxylated fatty acid glyceride and an ethoxylated hydrogenated oil. An independent claim is also included for a cosmetic method for cleansing the skin, comprising applying a composition as above to the skin in the presence of water and rinsing the skin to remove the resulting emulsion and soil residues.
