The seat has a tilting unit for tilting a backrest (14) between a vertical utilization position and a horizontal storage position in which the backrest is superimposed above a base (12). The tilting unit has a tilting arm (40) articulated on the backrest and on a floor pan (16) in a manner that the tilting of the backrest is performed around a transversal tilting axle movable with respect to the floor pan. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle comprising a seat.
