The device has a rigid chassis (5) connected to a support table. Two coaxial sleeves (6) permit displacement of the chassis with respect to the table between an inactive position, where the chassis is taken away and do not block the deposit and removal of oyster packets (1) on the table and an active position where the chassis is placed above the table such that the chassis maintains the packet against the table. An independent claim is also included for an oyster packet support table.
