The saddle cloth is made from a textile material with a coating or strips of a polymer non-slip material (1). The under-surface, in contact with the horse's back, has the non-slip material applied at least round its edge, while the upper surface can have strips positioned lengthwise relative to the saddle's padding, made from a non-slip polymer on its own or applied to textile strips attached to the cloth.
