The module has a separation seam separating chambers of a gas airbag (12). A gas generator (14) is received in a receiving socket (22) formed in one chamber of the airbag. Fixation sections received in the socket are provided adjoining a wall section of the socket. A fixation unit (44) fixes wall section on the sections and forces the seam and immobilizes the seam on a diffuser section (26).
