An extruded metal joiner 1 for providing a waterproof junction between adjacent wall panels 10 is described. The joiner 1 has integral drainage channels 2 separated by a stem 7 which supports a capping 8 which projects over channels 2. The joiner has a self sealing fit when panels 10 are in place between shoulders 3 and cap 8. The joiner can be mounted at the rear surface 4, or in another embodiment be integrally combined with a box-section stud. Further disclosed is a method of sheathing a wall using joiner 1.
